Monique van der Feer (1955) is an artist and writer. She studied from 1980 until 1984 at the art school in Kampen and is fascinated bij colour, letters, writing and signs.
Jewish mysticism and the Hebrew Letters are her source of inspiration.
My older works are meditative landscapes, with themes from life like for example being born. It is about tender and also hard moments in life. Being born is something that can happen to you in life in many ways.
The work develops. I like to work with pastels, collage and techniques. The paper is a field, a space, where forms come and look for their place, sometimes I use text, poems or part of a text..
